The New Company Law of the People’s Republic of China – A Guide for Investors

The new version of the PRC Company Law, which comes into force on July 1, 2024, brings with it a whole series of relevant changes. For many companies, there is a need for action with regard to the company’s articles of association and the structure of corporate governance. The following article summarizes the main changes and provides foreign investors with guidelines for the future legal structure of their subsidiaries in the PRC. It also addresses the ambiguities in the law and makes concrete suggestions for interpreting the relevant regulations.
