On the reform of the Chinese system of provisional measures to protect intellectual property
Provisional measures to protect intellectual property, in particular injunctions to cease infringement, but also evidence preservation orders and orders to secure or to freeze assets, are comprehensively regulated by civil procedure law and special provisions but rarely resorted to. This article illustrates new case law that gives reason to expect that access to this instrument of protection will be facilitated in the near future.
